League of Gentlemen Racing
Be sure that the LoG do not take this world too seriously. This afternoon at 5 o'clock a group of 40 riders gathered at the top of the trails above the Queenstown Bike Park for a true LoG event. The track was revealed only a minute prior to departure and after a run on Ants, the field regrouped with the slowest starting first into lower Hammy's .
The result - chaos with a big smile and a passing feast as the berms were ridden tight or wide to take advantage of any passing moment.
Was there a winner - maybe - there is certainly not one recorded.
A gentle ride then bought the crew to the next gathering - The World Bar for the 16 inch Wold Championship
A full bar ensured there was chaos - no racing room - compulsory 42 Below Vodka shot on the way through and much laughter and noise. This time a winner was declared but it was extremely close with less than a single second splitting first through third. Max Dupuis took the hot seat with only 4 riders left to run and held it to win this second The World Bar 16 inch World Championship
Note: Max is a traveller from Marseille who stayed in town especially for the night and no goes on his way with a beautiful 42 Below single speed town bike.
